Therapeutic Services Overview

What should I expect in a session?
Once we have agreed that EMDR is right for you, we will start sessions by learning regulating strategies for in and outside of sessions, alongside taking a history of what has lead to this moment in your life.
Following this, the next part of treatment will start, where we use bilateral stimulation through the eyes or tapping, to help your brain process distressing memories.
The sessions are always taken at your pace, alongside the support of the therapist. The length of treatment can vary due to factors such as how many adverse life experiences you have been through, and the breadth of what you would like to process.

How much does it cost?
I offer an initial free, 15 minute consultation to help you understand if EMDR is right for you.
Therapy sessions are for 60 minutes and cost £90 per session.
Payments must be made via BACS a minimum of 48 hours before each session to secure your time slot.

What time and where?
EMDR therapy sessions are held weekly with-in term time weeks. Breaks will be planned and discussed in therapy so you feel supported.
You can stop treatment at any time, for any reason. For therapy to be effective, appointments need to be attended regularly and effort is required to make the best use of our sessions. If there is anything going on for you that may hinder this, we can discuss this together.
All sessions are currently held online via video link, which you will be emailed once a session is paid for and confirmed.
